Medication for anxiety

Hey everyone I wanted to share what has really helped me over the past few weeks. I was suffering with horrible anxiety after a really intense period of stress and life changes. I have never had anxiety before and it hit me like a train; I have a fairly high powered career and started becoming terrified that my new GAD would derail everything. My doctor eventually decided to prescribe pregabalin; the dose I take is small (about 1/3 of a regular dose => individuals react differently) I have no side effects (a tapered start my doctor advised may have helped) and it has been a life saver. I can only speak from my experience and not as a doctor or qualified in the slightest when I say I hope this medicine can work for someone here who is also experiencing the fear and worry I had.
