I have been prescribed Sertraline and started taking them 5 days ago. I take them at night and find they help me to sleep. However, when I wake up in the morning I feel trembly and anxious all day like i cant get rid of the shakes. My legs feel weak too. Has anyone else experienced this? Also can anyone let me know how alcohol affects them and is it too early for me to try a drink?
I stopped drinking altogether about 6 months ago.
Didn't drink a lot but I found that alchohol makes my anxiety worse.
Alcohol is NEVER a solution to a mental health issue.
The zoloft takes time to be fully active.
You should not drink while taking it at all but especially when you are first starting.
Speak with your prescriber, you may need to add another med to address morning anxiety.
Overall, it's too early on to get the full effect of the zoloft so your anxiety might still be an issue until it kicks in.
Please do not drink, it is not going to help and will definitely make your situation worse than it is.
If alcohol is an issue for you, consider going to AA or some other treatment.

I am not addicted to alcohol but i do enjoy the odd social drink with friends. What with it being the Christmas period I had plans with family and friends and didn't want questions as to why I wasn't drinking so thought I would see the affects if I had a couple of drinks
