Sertraline: Hi everyone I have been... - Anxiety Support
Sertraline
Hi, worked well for me😀Just take it on a morning or it can disturb your sleep.it got me through a very difficult time. Good luck with it and try not to worry.
I'm on them ... took abit to get in my symptom but work for me I'm still on the them?! I'm on 50
Yeh deffo not night time ... I tried that once
I have been on them for 7 months , started on 50mg . Didn't do nothing to me , so was upped to 100 mg pd . Never looked back . It helps me cope with every day things , where before the slightest thing would be a catastrophic incident even though it wasn't . I do still get my fed up days but that's all they are . Takes a while to work but so so worth it
That may pass when they get in T your body!! I had a few side effect that weren't good... then was gonna come off them... but pushed through, thinking surely couldn't be any worse then what i was feeling... 9 month down now
Thank you everyone,it's horrible feeling like this.😞
It will get betta honest... people were telling me this and I just could not se it personally myself... but speaking from experience deffo is
Thank you, took first tablet today and has made me feel a bit funny, feel really shakey and anxious, head feels funny,is it worth staying on them?
Good luck
I take alprazolam 0.25MG for anxiety. And the sertraline 50MG for depression but i haven't took them in a couple of months tho
I took Sertraline 2 different times and both times I got better. It does take about a month or a little more to get back to yourself but as the weeks go by you feel yourself coming out that black hole. But dont quote me on that because everyone body and stress is different. Yours may work right away after a week u never know. I'm just sharing my results with it. Now one thing I can explain to you and please take this advice sertraline works really well and after awhile u may feel u dont want to take it anymore. Make sure u TAPER OFF the meds. Do not cold turkey stop. I made the mistake of cold turkey stopping the sertraline and I had two anxiety disorder relapses. Right now I'm relapsing and it's just a nightmare right now. I took sertraline for 2 months in July 2016-Sept 2016 and abruptly stopped...by November my anxiety came back full force... Now I restarted the sertraline last week and this time I will taper off and do it the smart way...
Ive been on sertraline for 7 years and in my experience it helped me so much. I used to be a hypochondriac, going to the er every other day for like 3 months. My doctor finally prescribed me sertraline and it really has saved me. The first 2 weeks or so were a little difficult i felt like it was giving me anxiety not taking it away, but i stuck with it, tried to keep myself distracted while i was going through some if the side effects. I still have off days but nothing like it was before i started taking them. Stick with it give it about 6 weeks or so
I was on Sertraline for 10 years. Started with 50mg which did nothing for me but I had no bad effects either. Went up to 100mg and, after about 5 weeks, I felt them working. A few years passed and I needed to up the dose again. I took 150mg a day for years till they stopped working too. I had a choice then in 2016--either up the dose to 200 mg or come off them and try another kind. I had 2 disastrous experiences with Citalopram and Mirtazapine which either robbed me of my memory or made me need to sleep far too much. All these antidepressants have side effects. You just have to weigh up what is worse---the depression or the effects of the medication. I have been off all tablets since July, 2016 but am now almost desperate enough to start taking them again. My anxiety is back with a vengeance and is causing physical symptoms eg diarrhoea and severe abdominal pain as well as bouts of sobbing my heart out.Today I am thinking about giving in and seeing my doctor. Sertraline is the best choice by far if it keeps working for you. In my case, I needed medication for life, I think. My side effects were not good--nightmares, weight gain, hot flashes, itchy skin rashes etc but now I would endure all that rather than what I have now. Take your Sertraline, wait for 5---6 weeks, and up the dose if you need to. My thoughts are with you.xxx. Myra.
