I was taking 40 mg of citalopram but have been off of it for over 6 months due to no insurance, but my depression is getting out of control... scared to restart it, getting ready to start a new job worried about the side effects making me sick..

Hi Wyominganxiety, I wish you luck on both the medication and

starting the new job. Hopefully, one will help the other and you will

do great. Stay Positive :) xx

Are there side effects you had the first go? If so, what were they?

Did you have some anti-anxiety meds the first time to smooth out the transition? Sometimes that is very helpful. Also some say going very low dose on your anti-depressant and increasing slowly helps! Worth a shot! I have had ativan 1 mg that I snap in 4 pieces and take very sparingly when I started SSRi’s the second time awhile back. (Currently not on ssri) perhaps that could help?
