Stress causing raise in white blood count?

Hello

Recently had blood work done because I have been having horrible anxiety again and I wanted to rule out anything physical.

Test came back with raised WBC at 16000. Which they said could be from An infection, so they did another a few days later and it’s still at 16.

Now during this whole thing I’ve been having anxiety, terrible sleep and what not.

So now I think I have blood related cancer.

I asked the GP if stress can raise WBC and she said no.

I go next week for an exam and if she can’t find anything that would indicate an infection then I have to go to a Hematologist.

Previous blood work over the last 5 years my wbc hovers around 12/13 which she said that they looked past since I Might of had something going on that raised it slightly.

Thanks in advance to any who respond
