Scared had unneccessary 4d ct scan. I am a 53 year old female. Had unnnecessary 4d ct scan for parathyroid and am now scared beyond belief re: the impact on my body. Everything was perfectly normal. And now I radiated my thyroid and everything else to shreds. I am so scared of what the future hold helarhbwise right now. I can’t think straight. If any one can share i would appreciate it.

The radiation from a CT scan will not harm you. Have a 100 CT scans and then you may have something to worry about. There are other scans such as a PET scan that exposes you tow far more radiation than a CT, and people have those without consequence. You have nothing to worry about. Celebrate your test coming back as normal! Be well.
