costochondritis

My doctor says I have costo and told be it would go in a few weeks. It doesn't I've been having it now 3 years. I get interrupted sleep and can't get an appointment for 4 weeks plus as they say it's not urgent. I'm a house keeper and it hurts loads. They never gave me any pain killers. While on holiday it really flares up every time. I've tried everything. Acupuncture, physio, osteopath, sports massage, reflexology. Any ideas.

Thank you. Being a self employed housekeeper is hard. I'm taking some muscle relax tablets which I got from Turkey, but not much joy. I can't understand when I'm on a 3 weeks holiday relaxing it gets worst.

hi. i feel your pain. i have been suffering from this awful condition for 8 years now and it so bad i feel like it defines me as i cannot live life the way i use to. mine so bad i have rib fractures that will not heal. to make matters worse i saw a thoracic surgeon who removed my xyphoid bone because i told him that was the area i have most pain. doctors know nothing about this it really bad for the ones like you and i who try to get help and cant.

Hi, I'm so sorry you've been suffering for so long 😢 I've decided that once I see my doctor I'm going to get him to send a referral to my private health insurance.
