I find myself short of breath very often and I think I’m just hyperventilating as a habit from when my health anxiety was very bad. I wanted to ask if anyone here had any experience with that and should I be worried about hyperventilating? Is it dangerous? Will it hurt my brain or anything dangerous ? Also how do I stop it. Help

Hyperventilating
When you find yourself hyperventalating find something to focus on. Maybe even knowing you can let us know here. Its helping me a little reading on here and replying. When going through tough times it's hard to focus and calm ourselves down. It will always go away eventually but hang tight through it. You can do this. I have great confidence in you that this will eventually subside and you will use your experience to help another.
Hi treyjeff, I actually had the experience of hyperventilating 2 days ago. I was having trouble breathing and then panicked, my breathing was so fast. My hands had pins and needles and I felt like I was going to collapse. The worst thing was I was at work and it happened in front of all bosses. Once you slow your breathing down, everything relaxes and the panic goes. I've been told to try and focus on slow deep breathing but easier said than done. It was really frightening. If I can be of any help or you want to talk, just message me.
