Absolutely, yes. A lot of SSRI/SNRI medications do cause a lot of things to happen with sleep. Frequent wake-ups, sweating during sleep, not getting enough REM sleep, and so on. It's very common and sometimes, with prolonged use, it will go away. If you've been taking this medication for awhile and still experience these side effects, I would mention it to your doctor as they may be able to place you on something that will help you sleep better. I was put on a non-habit forming "hydroxyzine" (an antihistamine with helpful anxiety benefits) that helps put me to sleep. If not that, perhaps they can lead you to alternative methods that don't rely on medication. But, yes, antidepressants can and, for some, do cause sleep-related issues.

I find personally the SNRI medications are worse (Fetizima, Pristiq, Effexor, Cymbalta and many others) for my sleep. I'm supposed to take my Cymbalta but haven't because I just needed some friggin' sleep. Hope this info helped a bit.

Ive been on antidepressants before majority of the time on lexapro going back years ago. I am at 20mg for which i have taken in the past also but now i have minor side effects and sleep problems. Im not sure if its the medication or just the persistent anxiety. Thanks Angela.

Sounds like your having a crap time nothing worse than not sleeping. I’m sure your doctor would be happy to prescribe something even for a few weeks if it’s affecting you at work, if not get a bottle of night nurse and have a cap full you will defo sleep 🤭😂 please read the label though 🏷 x
