So I have struggled with anxiety most of my life and kept it under control with the help of Lexapro. So my dr and I decided that I was doing well and in December I started tapering off. I came off of it completely.
This past May I started back up on it cause I just couldn’t handle the symptoms. So finally after months of anxiety and med adjustments, I was feeling great. All of a sudden Friday night I have date night with my husband and drank tooooooo much and have a huge hangover on Saturday and Sunday anxiety starts back up...... it’s mainly morning anxiety that lasts until about noon or so. I went to dr yesterday he said that I should not be drinking (which I realize) but it will go away. If it does not he will adjust my medicine again.
Has anyone ever experienced anything similar?
Also the anxiety I ha r been dealing with since May has been the morning anxiety.

If I drink on a Friday and Saturday, Sunday I will be ok, Monday rough and Tuesday anxious as hell !!. It's just alcohol is relaxing, you gotta have some fun !!
I have never experienced this. I can have a few drinks and be fine. This time is completely different. Maybe because of how much I drank and the mix of alcohol I had. I’m just not sure why this is happening.
Maybe it has nothing to do with alcohol and it is your head. Both you say are morning anxieties and you suffer it either way. This is why I never took any kind of medication maybe he needs to up your dosage.
