anxiety in the morning and feeling at the edge all the time.

hi everyone. i am new here and thisnis my first time to be in this page.i am experiencing morning anxiety and feeling on the edge everytime.the fight and flight response is always with me without any reason at all and it is very exhausting.anyone out there experiecing this symptoms and how are you managing it? i also do not enjoy things that i used to enjoy.thanks.

I totally understand as I’m going through the same thing right now due to health anxiety. I wake up and immediately “tune in.” to what I’m feeling. I just started reading a new book I got from Claire Weeks “ Self Help For Your Nerves”. I also recommend Hope and Help For Your Nerves. She was an amazing Australian doctor that specialized in treating patients with anxiety. Many on this site have or are reading her books.

Hi there. I go through exactly the same. If i wake up at some silly early hour of the morning the morning anxiety is so bad I cant get back to sleep. So I take 1 propranolol or cut in half or quarter and then I can maybe get back to sleep for a couple more hours. Of course, the next wake up and it starts all over again. Its horrible. Have you seen a doctor about this?

thanks for your reply.yes i am on my medication prescribed by my GP.as of now i am taking 75 mg venlafaxine and 5 mg clonazepam for the evening. it is horrible really feeling this way every single day i am just hoping that one day when i woke up i will not feel the same way..hoping for us all too who is experiencing this emotion to be better soon because i know how it is to be here.
