Anxiety support
Hi alxox25, each one of us is different as to what our body and mind responds to. As for myself it took years of therapy, medication, acceptance and belief in that I would get better. For me, it boiled down to Meditating and Deep Breathing, Self Hypnosis, Guided Imagery and most important is the Acceptance that anxiety was not harmful.
I continue to research as well as learn everyday from the others on this forum as well as medical sites as to updates in mental health. The truth be told is that 50 years ago Dr. Claire Weekes thoughts with Acceptance of Anxiety as being the key, is still proven to be the one thing that works.
Wishing you calm and peace. xx
Do things, keep busy, go learn, exercise, read, dont sit and let it control you, get your brain to think differently. Eat well.
Thanks!
alxox25, I would like to second what Agora1, a much respected member of this forum, has said. And in particular her reference to Doctor Claire Weekes and her acceptance method for recovery from anxiety disorder in all its forms.
Her first book outlines her method concisely and clearly: although it was written 50 years ago it continues to sell and to cure in increasing numbers.
In the U.K. the book is titled 'Self help for your nerves' whilst in the U.S. the same book is titled 'Hope and help for your nerves'. Both books available new or used for just a few £$ from Amazon. I suggest that if you only read one more book in your life this is that book.
Not talking to friends and family, they tend to be critical cause they don't understand and I find it makes it Worse that why I come to this site where I won't be judged. My medication Mirtazapine seems to be working. Distracting myself
