Beta blockers and running/working out

Hey guys question is anyone on beta blockers here? My doctor gave me beta blockers a long time ago and tonight I was running on the treadmill at 7.0 and I slow down and notice my heart rate was at 115 again not getting scared at all here it’s a question is that normal? Or it’s something I should worry about? But again I feel good nothing wrong but get me a little worried that I’m not pumping too much blood into my heart. Thanks guys for your support!!

I’m on a beta blocker. It’s pretty well published that they cause your heart rate to remain lower than it would normally be if you weren’t on them. Everything that I’ve read says not to attempt to raise your heart rate to pre-beta blocker levels while exercising. They work by lowering heart rate and decreasing the amount of blood pumped each beat. I wouldn’t think it’s anything to be concerned about!

Hey thanks I spoke with the doctor he said it’s good that I excise so I can get off these pills there also for blood pressure. But thank you!

I mean to be honest with you I love it lol I run and have more energy with them lol. But hopefully I hit my goal in losing weight so I can get off these things. But thanks for the information!
