Antidepressants

Hi guys new to the community im in 2 minds with the use of antidepressants are they any good or would you recommend CBT or hypnotherapy

Different things work for different people, it's difficult to say whether one is better than the other, what works for one person may not work for another, ultimately the only person who can decide is you, these are nothing more than assistive tools that may help you along the way, I've used medication and CBT, both have been helpful in different ways, but my recovery ultimately came from the way I reacted to anxiety, medication did give me some respite though untill I felt strong enough to face my fears, you could consider trying a little of each? xxx

It worked wonders for my wife. She is an er nurse and suffered a lot of stress symptoms. She is taking Zoloft and worked from the start. She has been on it for a few years and still going strong. Some people cant stand them, I took amitriptyline years ago and I think it might have saved my life, but took Prozac a few years ago and it was terrible.
