Heart Anxiety: Has anyone else been scared... - Anxiety Support
Heart Anxiety
I don't blame you for having heart related anxiety, this can be attributed to the fact that more than 90% of natural deaths are heart related.
We all can take good care of our heart by relaxing, exercising frequently, laughing, eating healthy food and many more.
In our school education we were all taught that the heart is the strongest muscle in our body, so what makes you think that it will stop all of a sudden.
I will help you to understand this better. Take an example of a watch or a wall-clock, the seconds hand moves 60 times in a minute. Similarly, the heart, on an average, beats 72 times in minute.
How many times has your clock stopped working? Maybe all you did was change a battery to start it again. If it broke down beyond repair, then maybe you replaced it.
My point being that, the heart runs its natural course and displays exemplary amount of stamina and determination if it has worked every single day of your age. So believe in your heart's capability.
If you feel that you have genuine heart problem like arrhythmia or something then consult a doctor.
HelpingElbow is right, lijah, if you could see it you'd be amazed how strong your heart muscle is. Your heart is not going to stop suddenly, you have no good reason to believe it will, unless there is some medical diagnosis you haven't told us about, which I doubt. Your heart is perfectly fine, lijah, it will serve you well for many, many years to come. You're just anxious about something and the anxiety has just put this false idea in your mind.
Do not dwell on it, don't let it become an obsession, count your blessings instead.
