Day 2 Without ativan

Hi everyone it's been a while. Hope you are all doing well. It's my second day without my half of ativan (.25mg ) and so far so good. Would I have been feeling any withdrawals? I figured if I were wouldn't I have felt it by now?

They took my ativan cold turkey after I had been on it constantly for over 9 years. Withdrawal was OK for the first week then I noticed brain zaps and tired and whine. That last almost 30 days and then as fast as it came on it was gone. I have been sober from them for 8 months and it's hard because when you are in that height of emotion sever panic/anxiety attack, I beg. With all of these people in here with us I have won and I will continue to win. Don't take as many as it says are aloud a day, don't take it because it seems like the only thing that helps, do use your coping mechanism first. It really is a short term me that doctors are giving to us like candy because we don't complain as much about any of our anxieties to them because eventually you become numb and go on auto pilot. Use them until the crisis is over and then lock them away if you need them again. You are stronger than any medicine you just have to figure out your kriptonite and get rid of it!

Awsome so happy for you,, I was prescribed them in august to take .5 mg twice a day while i started on my ssri and dealt with side effects from it,, Well im a big wimp when it comes to meds so I would only take .5mg once a day or split that in half once in morning and late afternoon, then I did .25mg just in the morning for a while. I just wanted to be off of it and take on as needed basis, plus im also on a beta blocker. I did find this morning that I woke up with sweats then again not sure if it was from not taking the ativan or if could be the "change" starting.
