Propanalol and alcohol.

Hi I am supposed to be going out on Saturday for food and drinks. Just wondering can I drink whilst taking propanalol? Thanks

I don't chance any medication by also having alcohol. Call your pharmacy and ask. I'm certain your doctor is not available on a Sunday.

Thankyou. I'll pop into the pharmacy in the morning. Yes the drs surgery closes over the weekend. I didn't want to chance it either. ☺

Have you had a look at the leaflet that came with it. I know the beta blocker I am on Bisoprolol you can drink and it’s fine.

Yes you can drinking with in reason until your head feels light, I've been taking 160mg of propananol daily for almost 10 years and occasionally have a drink the alcohol will make you more calm too

I do, but not as much as I used to, maybe a small glass or two of wine, Im on 60mg extended release once a day

I very rarely drink so definitely won't be over doing it anyway. I'm on 40mg 3x a day.

I’m on two 40g tablets and they’re working great for me thanks for this post as I was wondering the same thing!
