Week since this was done

Hi all. A week ago I was in hospital and this was where they put the blood test in. It’s still so bruised. Should I be worried??

Perhaps the nurse who did it was a bit heavy handed ? x

Not to worry Sandy, it will probably change many colors before it completely fades away. Sometimes when they insert the needle it pokes through the vein causing a little leakage and the bruise appears. Not harmful. Usually an ice pak put on after the needle is taken out would eliminate some of that discoloration. The important thing to remember is that the anesthetic worked as you went off to slumber land for a while during the procedure.
