Citalopram

Hi I’ve been on citalopram 20mg now for 9 weeks and 40mg for nearly 3 weeks and I feel my depression has lifted a bit but not much as I still have this premonition of death feeling it’s constant 24/7 all I think about is me dying all day everyday no psychical symptoms just this eerie feeling of dread and it’s ruining my life have I have the 40mg enough time to work or are these just not working for me I just feel helpless now

Im on citalopram too. I started out on 10 mg then went up to 20. After being on 20 for just two weeks I started having bad nocturnal leg pains and paranoia . I think often doubling your dose doubles the chance of side effects. I have been on 5 different ADs and three different benzos over decades. Often drs have said time to up your dose and its been a catastrophe! Talk to your dr about down dosing. (Though they usually say no, lets UP your dose)
