Wyoming, it may seem like the natural response to fight your anxiety but I suggest to you that the experience of the ages is that fighting only causes more strain and stress and your over sensitive nervous system needs less not more of that.
I suggest that instead of fighting your anxiety you do the opposite and surrender to it. Stop fighting it and accept it for the time being. Accept it as calmly as you can and without adding second fear to first fear knowing full well that all the symptoms anxiety inflicts are fake symptoms that cannot do you permanent harm to mind or body. So why live in fear of a few blips in your exhausted nervous system?
Again I say accept the bad feelings despite the discomfort they cause you because by accepting them and getting on with your life you generate less fear on which sensitized nerves feed. I have to say that by practicing acceptance you will not find immediate relief but because you are inflicting less fear on your nerves they will slowly return to their normal state and lose their sensitivity and you will regain your peace of mind and body and take control of life once more.
Acceptance therapy has been successfully practiced for 50 years and has helped hundreds of thousands of people to recover from anxiety disorder. There is no reason why you should not be next.
So don't fight it which only prolongs anxiety but instead accept it. You win by surrendering.
