Hi _sincerelynina, welcome back, wish it were under different circumstances. I'm sorry you are experiencing SOB. I scrolled by to the last 6 months and don't see you mention that you have asthma. The few times you mentioned having trouble breathing seemed to be anxiety provoked which it may very well be this time around.

Because of the time of year where Asthma is more prevalent, it wouldn't be a bad idea to run it by your doctor. If it does end up being anxiety, then you know that the tightness in the middle of your chest is coming from the tightened muscles and has nothing to do with your lungs.

If that's the case, then deep breathing will help. Yes, you can first slow down your breathing by inhaling deeply and slowly allowing your abdomen to expand, hold and then slowly blow out your breathe from your pursed lips. That will help in balancing your mind and your body and allowing the muscles in the diaphragm and upper stomach to open and relaxxxxx.

You should be fine. xx

Of course that will happen each and every time we focus on something long enough, we will feel the effects of it. It's time to let go of the worry by breathing and relaxing to see if that calms down the feeling. Once it does you will know it was a passing feeling aggravated by your fear of it being something else.

I think we can safely say that anxiety once again is trying to convince you it's something more. Take back the control and accept that this is anxiety and breathe. xx
