So I have suffered with anxiety for about 3 years now... before that I didn’t take too much notice of it and wouldn’t have ever imagined that it has the capabilities that it does! I mean to actually make you feel like you are dying, that you have some chronic illness and that you are not going to be around for much longer....
The thing is yes anxiety can do this, I have had the bad symptoms, chronic daily headaches, brain fog, pins and needles, lump in throat, body zaps... and like most people when they have been at their worst I have laid awake at night working out what I am going to tell my family about my illness I have..
There is one thing that anxiety cannot trick and that is time. I have had these symptoms for months and months, and although they go in fits and starts they don’t get worse! I don’t suddenly loose stacks of weight, my headaches do not turn into something more serious. The reason being is that anxiety is a one trick pony and once you look beyond what is happening right now you realise that it’s not changing, not getting worse and you are not dying. You are just getting duped by a master fraudster.

amazing post! This can put a lot of us at ease. I totally agree... and I was thinking this today, my symptoms do persist...but they don't worsen, they just heighten. I don't feel like I'm getting more "Ill," I just feel the same. Thanks for this!
Thank you for that explanation of "anxiety". It definitely is a monster
Love your post, Matt! Do you know what? This realisation means that you are on the way to recovery. Oh, yes you are! It might not feel like it sometimes, but it's happening. ☺☺
Hi Matt, anxiety is about the one thing I don't get, I did once it was horrible but I managed to give myself a good talking too as I realised I was doing it to myself no-one else i was in control suddenly like a light switch I turned if off and iv never had it again, you yourself have the answer
