Chest pains

I've had heart palpitations for awhile before being diagnosed with anxiety. Usually it just caused slight chest pain, maybe a bit dizzy. Today I had one that lasted about a minute or 2 and caused pain in my chest/throat/jaw and I had some shortness of breath. Scared me for a bit. Feeling fine now.

I know those feelings. All anxiety for sure. deep long breaths and stay focused, bout all u can do. I am on lexapro but still, can get those feelings. I have had General Anxiety disorder for a very long time. when I get those feelings, it always feels like its something different to a degree. Hang in there and maybe see your doc.

I'm on a max dose of effexor xr and klonapin twice a day. I have GAD, Major Depressive Disorder, and Adjustment disorder. I'm not exactly sure how the doctor officially diagnosed all of them. I used to drink alot of caffeine, and the palpitations stopped when I cut caffeine. I did have caffeine yesterday so maybe that caused it. It went away and hasn't come back. I'll let my doc know about it next time I see her.

I am so sorry to hear you have had chest symptoms. I too, have had this and then I found out that I have small vessel disease of the heart and there was a reason. I know, you know, as a health care professional, you should go to the ER if it lasts. It's very difficult to tell what is anxiety and what is the heart. So please, do get checked out if you get it again!!!!! I see you mentioned your cats, I just lost my old guy to kidney disease and have one left. They are such great comfort. Tell me about your kitties if you'd like???? Hope you are doing well today.
