Does anybody suffer from work place anxiety? I'm out of work because of it and I'm petrified of getting a new job. Has anyone been through this? I desperately want to apply for a few jobs but can't physically bring myself to do it and frustrating me MEGA loads 🙁

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!!

I have had bullying at work and I don't like going in Sunday night I get anxious before Monday. Currently off work short term for depression and anxiety. I did tell the bosses but minimal gets sorted.

I get it at work but I reassure myself that I'm ok and that I only have X amount of hours to go then I can go home. Try think positive and that you can do it and get through the day. I prepare myself the night before and reassure myself I will be fine. Just get up go to work do the hours and go home. Good luck

Ask you GP for a relaxation drug that will help you get over the rough times.

or take Paracetomol as I find it helps with my issues.

Do not think how bad you are feeling as this only makes you feel worse.

Think of what you can achieve and the money you will get paid and the friends you can make if you find it hard to make friends do it slowly there are a lot of people in the same situation who find they are nervous doing new things and meeting new people but it is a challenge we all have to face in our lives. Think of it as one step forward to a new beginning and a new you.

You will surprise yourself what you can do. Take small steps and small challenges to overcome and congratulate yourself when you have accomplished something you were afraid of. A lot of it is the fear of the unknown but once we take that first step its not that bad and we have done it. Be very proud of your achievements.

If it helps make a list of all the things you wish to do and gradually do them.

Life is an adventure and an exiciting one by holding back we are only hurting ourselves.

I know I have been there it was a very long learning process for me and I have now come a long way to help others. Best of Luck Please do not hold back you have so much to look forward to do not let others stand in your way. Be strong you can tackle anything you want.

When you are facing a bad time or have a strange anxiety feeling just stop and take a deep breathe several times a day if needed. Think of you and how happy you want to be think of nice things and it will soon be home time. When at home try mediation its a wonderful way to relax and unwind.

Also keep a daily journal. Anything that bothers you and gets you annoyed or worried then just write it down in a notebook. This is very good for doing at night before going to sleep its a way of off loading our minds so that we can have a good nights sleep. It works everytime for me. We all have problems we have to face which we dont talk about so if we do not have someone we can talk to you have your journal your trusted friend.

Its amazing by writing and off loading our minds how much better we feel its like a weight has been lifted. If you or anyone is being bullied at work go to PR and speak your mind they are there to help you or go to Citizins Advice Centre. Best of Luck. Hope you feel Happy soon.

I'm literally at work right now dealing with anxiety...I've lost so many jobs because of it. At the ones I've been most successful at, I've sometimes had to take it 5 minutes at a time. Like literally tell myself to try and get through 5 minutes, then the next 5. Usually it will get a bit easier closer to lunch and easier after that. None of it is easy though and I feel for you. I'm hoping that someday I will be able to get through most days without anxiety flaring up.
