Freaking out go into hospital 18 Feb for UFE

Hospital just called I go into hospital on 18 Feb, way to ruin the weekend. Have to spend the night as apparently I will be in so much pain I won't cope at home. It's going to be hrs of discomfort, humiliation & pain so I am freaking out, especially as my biggest fear about going into hospital is going to come true as I will have a needle in my arm the entire time so I will be too freaked/stressed/terrified to move as long as it's in me. Person I spoke to didn't seem very sympathetic said I need to discuss it at pre-op physical next week.
