Struggling with withdrawal

So I'm now down to 10mg of Parox started from 40mg a few months back.

I'm assuming I'm having withdrawal as getting dizziness headaches etc but I'm really struggling.

Anyone got any advice with how to ease them ? I know it's a case of just waiting for them to let up

Hi andrewtxland, you've come 3/4 of the way and I would hate to see you quit now. Weaning off SSRIs or Benzos needs to be done consistently, always going forward never upping the dose. When I weaned off benzos, it was done in slow increments every 2 weeks, 3 weeks the most but never going backwards. The withdrawal symptoms are going to be there and possibly get worse because the brain is telling you, it doesn't like it. It wants that fix. It is a good idea to have support around you when weaning. Once you are through with taking the last dose, don't expect a miracle. Depending how long you were on the medication, it takes the brain some time to heal, although the symptoms will become less and less. It will then make a turnabout where you will feel like yourself again. No longer in a fog or that drugged feeling. Keep strong. You can do it.
