Need advice please!

I keep getting all thies wierd feelings all over my body some times I get head pressure cold sweats feeling light headed can someone give me advice I feel like I'm at my wits end with all thies horrible affects to my body 😕

Rebecca - the fact that you have chosen this forum to discuss your symptoms suggests that you believe your problem is nervous in origin and from the sound of it I would certainly agree with you, many people here have had exactly the same symptoms. But I recommend you visit your doctor to confirm there is no organic cause, that will give you some reassurance.

Presuming your doctor is of the opinion it's 'nerves' as I'm sure he will I would say that your symptoms are due to stress, worry and anxiety. Whatever started it is not so important because worry about how you feel has taken over as the cause of your anxiety symptoms, what is called too much introspection, and this perpetuates your problem as anxiety causes symptoms that in turn cause more anxiety that then cause more symptoms, and so the vicious circle rolls on and on.

But there is a solution to how you feel which breaks the vicious circle of nervous sensitisation and helps you to recover your normal peace of mind. First I can assure you that you are not going to die, collapse or lose control, anxiety does not have the power to do that because it is not an organic problem you have. It is 'just' a case of too much anxiety causing your nervous system to malfunction and send out troublesome symptoms which are fraudulent symptoms because they are not real and do not actually exist in the organic sense.

The solution is simple but takes perseverance - simply Accept your feelings instead of fighting them. Instead of constantly testing how you feel, let the symptoms come because you now know they can do you no permanent harm, they are in fact frauds! So let the waves of anxious symptoms come and relax all your muscles and the wave will break over you and recede. By not letting First Fear produce Second Fear you eventually rob anxiety of its power to frighten you. So I say again, practice Accepting your feelings for the moment but it must be real acceptance not pretend Acceptance, you will learn how to do this with practice, that is to say relax when the symptoms strike.

I know this probably isn't the answer you were hoping for, you wanted a quick fix or magic wand solution that doesn't exist, cure comes only with practicing Acceptance.

If you doctor offers a short course of tranquillisers I recommend you take them, they do not offer a permanent solution but will take the edge off of your suffering that allows you to practice Acceptance and letting time pass.

You WILL eventually recover, Rebecca, by Accepting these troublesome symptoms because you now know they are just glitches of the nervous system you will hasten their departure.

Thank you so much I don't really want to take any kind of tranqliser as I have a young child and my partner works I do try and except it when my symptoms come but it makes me panic and I think what the hell but I will make and appointment with docs tomorrow to see if it's noting else x
