Exploding head syndrome

I usually get them when iam trying to get rid of my anti depressants I am doing this by tapring or whatever you called it .. And I get it usually when iam about to drift off in sleep

I sleep good anyways tho .

I've never taken antidepressants but good for you getting off meds. They're great in the short term but I think eventually it's best to face it with what you got inside.

I get those sometimes too. Have been for years, but have never been on meds so I'm not sure why

I call it brain zaps... And it happens when drifting off to sleep. It will startle me and is usually follow by being dizzy. I hate it more than anything!!! Mine started last year when I was having withdrawal symptoms from my generic version of celexa, it's a common side effect. My dr. Put me on brand only and it helped a lot! I still get them but I've also read it's a symptom of anxiety as well... I've learned to deal with them and remind myself that it's just anxiety. I know this didn't help much but sometimes it's comforting to know others have the same stuff going on
