Heart attack, or anxiety.

I had silent heart attack 20 yrs ago. Since then I have been to A and E about 8 times with symptoms similar to first. Dullness in shoulder, uncomfortable chest, arm especially left dull and listless. After e c g and blood test usually kept in for 12 hours. Finally released as suffering either anxiety, or muscle spasms. Because no actual pain in chest, doctors are never quite sure whether angina is the cause. I am on usual medication is rampril, atenolol , amlodopine, aspirin, and fluoxatine for anxiety. This week after feeling rubbish doctor upped rampril again going the anxiety route. Blood pressure, oxygen and soundings all ok. My problem now is, everything is attacking me. Aching back. Aching left shoulder. Uncomfortable chest, and general listless.

Is it hospital to check out, or accept doctors prognosis, or a really twisted mind playing all the tricks it can, to confuse me.

My anxiety causes my arms to feel dull as well. Usually more in my left arm which scares me even more. I would say get a second opinion just to put your mind at ease. That's what I did.

Thanks a lot Lyn21. On holiday next week, so may take advantage of another a,and e. Some way to spend hols eh?. Cheers......
