Hi teemarie, I've been thinking about how you are doing. I'm sorry you are still experiencing the symptoms from the fluoxetine. The doctor did say 24-72 hours. Three days would be 72 hours so you are getting near. It should start subsiding in intensity. One thing for sure, I wouldn't start another replacement med until you have this one completely out of your system. It's a hard call because your anxiety over the reaction you had confuses yourself to what's from the med and what is anxiety. If after 3 days it isn't better, you could always call the doctor. I think you will start feeling better though. Wishing you well. xx
well the doctor today said a week because of its half life and that they should not have had me quit abruptly i should have been tapered off. my anxiety and depression have been so horrible i have had to have my aunt with me everyday. its like im bipolar i get super energy then so low and depressed. i guess i have to wait it out. i will never take another pill again. ever. i do see the psychiatrist next week so i just have to pray and pray and figure out how to deal with my emotions. i cannot lose everything i have worked so hard to get.
I'm so sorry dear. Getting off any kind of medication is difficult. I know the half life is longer in Prozac but who knew that 2 doses of this pill would turn your world upside down. I hope that the psychiatrist will come up with another plan of action for you. Hang in there, that is about all you can do now. At least you know that you should be feeling better soon. I'm glad you have someone with you. Let me know how you are doing tomorrow. xx
