Lump below right rib...

Ok, so I'm paranoid about everything but this morning I realised I can feel something under my right rib just above belly button level. It almost feels like I can feel an organ I there but I've never noticed it before. Its around the area of my lower liver perhaps or I don't know if your intestine goes that high? Its pretty soft and not a hard immovable lump. Can anyone else feel this?! Am I going mad?! X

Sounds like you may have a little Health Anxiety there , I know I suffer with it & I used to be checking out every lump , mark you name it & would think it was not suppose to be there , I was never away from the doctors getting reassurance but over time I have learnt to control these thoughts a lot better & only rare now do I get paranoid

Have you been to the Doctors about your anxiety in general , it would be a good idea to go & have a chat with them how this is affecting you there is so much support maybe counselling that can be offered & you could also ask about the lump you can feel even though I doubt it will be anything but as we are not doctors it will give you that reassurance if you ask your own

Having said that my Health Anxiety would be so bad I would have a lump one day & then would have moved on to something else the following day & would totally have forgot about what was wrong or I thought was wrong the day before

Maybe ask your parents , friends etc if they can see anything wrong I am sure that could also help to reassure you to x

Well I know I definitely.have health anxiety but my husband did say he could feel something too. He thinks maybe a hernia but i didn't think it would be that high. The only thing is that the other thing in that area is my liver but had blood tests just over 2 months ago saying my liver function was fine so I can't imagine its now bad this soon?! I was wondering if it could be my colon but I didn't know if I'd be able to feel it there?! X

Once I had a little lump on my neck of course I thought the worse & when I got it checked out it was nothing just part of me apparently

I think if you had a Hernia or colon you would probably have some pain with it , try not to worry I know easier said than done but if you are still not happy after the Bank Holiday just make an appointment & ask your doctor x
