Mirtazapine 15mg - 30mg

I have been on mirtazapine 15mg for 2 years and it has helped with my anxiety and depression. I am however feeling a bit stressed, mainly as my mum is poorly .

The 15mg acts as a sedative and I sleep very deeply and have abnormal dreams. My question is, will increasing the dose make the sedation worse ?

Also, I have very achy muscles and joints, is this a s/e of mirtazapine ?
