So I'm supposed to be on my way to dinner instead I am sitting her in a panic because I still have that uncomfortable pain in my chest and now I have a metal taste in my mouth. Whyyyyy?! I wanna go have a good night, why can't this just bloody go away?!

Hi.
I think you are letting your anxiety take over try and be positive tell yourself you are going to enjoy yourself once you get there I am sure you will calm down and have a good time.

I get a metallic taste in my mouth when I have a chest infection or sometimes a heavy chesty cold. It's not unusual. I think it's just infected phlegm.
Sounds like you may have a chest infection.
Drop by the doctors and grab some antibiotics.
Could be acid reflux try some antacids
