Anyone been on sertraline? And r they any good as I am reluctant to take them :/

hi Floyd, my o/h been on them for about a year now, found them very good, she is on 100mg, you have to be on them for at least 3 wks so they get into your system, hope this helps. jasper xx

I'm afraid I have not taken this, but I know others on here have and I'm sure they will be able to give you some advice. Like all meds they take time to get into your system so give them chance to work.

Hi yes i had the recommended 6month course of sertraline prescribed by my CBT therapist. After a few weeks i felt fantastic. All the morbid thought i had been having for 2 years went. After i stopped them i was able to control my anxiety and start living. Few side affects first off but nothing major. Stick with it x

Absolutely! Sertraline works well for many people. When you first take it you may notice some minor side effects (listed in it's pamphlet), but rest assured they do subside rather quickly. 50 mg is typically the standard starting dose, most everyone I know ends on 75 or 100 and it does take a bit for you to notice a difference. Don't be discouraged if it is a couple weeks and you still don't notice any difference, it doesn't mean it isn't working for you, you just may require a little bump up. Hang in there! There is hope!

Hi thanks for replying guys. Aw that's good they work I will defently give them a go I've just not long took my 2nd one feel quite sick with it and very dry mouth so hopefully they'll work for me I'll let you's know thanks again. Xx
