Pension Credit letter
i'm afraid I don't know what is usual re pension credits but I would have thought it would be possible to take the details somewhere. Do you feel better if you make the phone call?. Then you at least have some control. Or could someone answer the phone on your behalf. I have to do this for my son with his student grant as he hates phones too.
MR
Thanks I will phone them when I have collated the info
Hi dilm2.
If I were you I would check the validity of the letter as they do not usually ask for financial details over the phone do not give any bank details over the phone. I am sorry if this sounds worrying but it is easy to check just go on line to DWP and find a phone number better safe than sorry.
Kenny
Hi there
I was going to say the same as Kenny.
Give them a call, don't ever give banking details over the phone.
Good luck xx
thanks I am trying but they are busy
no it isn't normal and as kenny says do not give any details over the phone to anyone, I strongly advise you to contact Age Concern who will take you through any procedure,
Spoke to pension credit told to ignore letter they have said they do ask for details over the phone after following a set procedure
