Hi

My anxiety causes OCD & agoraphobia which both are bad

I am a huge fan of Will-i-am & I had always dreamed of seeing him , tickets came on sale & on the 4th December this year I went to see him :-) :-) :-)

It was a goal I set myself & something to aim for , I didn't have a clue how I was going to do it but I did !!!

It was an experience I will never forget & I am so glad I didn't miss out , I am now back to been agoraphobic but I managed to push through it just for that day as the prize at the end seeing Will-i-am was to much not to reach out for !

In fact I say he should be on my repeat prescription :-D

Think about it , if I can do it I believe you could & we would all support you :-)

Love

Hi why why you did really well for going but I get physically sick when I think of booking something like booking a holiday and I frightened that if I book these tickets for boyzone that I will be sick with my nerves I don't know why I'm like this I would love to go

Hi

I understand , I can & have been physically sick with my anxiety at times to

I think we build up the fear to the event with our anxiety but when it actually gets to it we can surprise ourselves

I was so worried once I booked the tickets , I did a post saying I have booked them but have no plan how I am going to do it !

I just kept telling myself I had a choice which I did , I would try my best & if when the day came & I couldn't face it then I didn't have to go , which was true !

I am not ready & wont be for a holiday for a long time , but with just little steps it is one step closer

When you are ready you will do it , I am sure & people on here will give you as much support as you need

It is our anxiety , the irrational & thinking pattern we have got in to that causes this but slowly we can reverse it , takes time , but you will do it :-)

Hi Perrytan.

You never know what you can do until you try it. I remember how anxious whywhy was before going to see Will I am, I think my advice would be just go for it if you can get tickets once your there you will forget your anxiety and like whywhy really enjoy yourself.

Have faith in yourself. Kenny xxx

Hi Kenny I know I should do it but I get physically sick and it frightens me that's the only thing that's stopping me x

Hi Perrytan,

I do hope you can book the tickets for Boyzone, my son's partner went, although she doesn't suffer with anxiety, she has ME, she did the meet and greet, and she said she has waited 18 years to do this.

I do know how you feel, I do the same with holidays, but have managed to go on most of them.

It's a viscous circle isn't it, because you don't want the worry, but beat yourself up after the event for not going.

Good luck to you. Eunice xx

Hi echinus it is a vicious circle I really want to book the tickets but I don't want all the anxiety feelings that go with it it's horrible I am the same with holidays as well I havnt been away for ten years it's like the anxiety has taken over my life and I know it's my fault I shouldn't let it but it's so hard xx

Hi Perrytan, it isn't your fault you have anxiety, we all have it, but to different degrees.

Are you in a relationship, or can you go away with family? I am more at ease with family, but working on going away with a friend soon, who knows me well. We are having separate rooms, as I need my sleep, to survive the next day, if you know what I mean.

I really wish I could wave a magic wand over you, so you can book them tickets.

Do you make a back up plan, i.e. can you book seats, near to an exit, do you know a good friend to confine in, to pick you up and take you there? I don't really know what to suggest because I know the agony you are going through.

All the best, Eunice xx

I was going to go with my husband but he gets really annoyed with me when I have my anxiety I feel as though I'm spoiling it for him and letting people down

Hi

Were you planning on going on your own, if not maybe a group of friends could all go together that way they can keep you occupied until you get in the arena then when the concert starts I'm sure you will just go with the flow.
