I take 10mg as needed for anxiety. It works better than any other medication & it's nonadditive. If you're curious this is reliable site where I buy the tablets and they sent it to me without a prescription:

verifiedwebs.net/go/Propran...

Their customer service was fantastic, price was awesome and I received my order within a few days.

Hi, yes I was given them x I didn't want to take the dosage I was given 3 x 40 mg daily as I have my personal phobias but did try 2 a day x It made the adrenalin less and the heart palps stopped. But there was small things I didn't like such as tingling at the tip of my tongue nothing major just niggles for me. So i started taking one a day but half morning half night, they never shifted the anxiety but it calmed the side effects a lot. xxx Hope this helps xx

Hi

I havnt taken them either , but I am sure someone will have & be able to give you more advice

I do no with these kind of meds that they can take several weeks to work , so I dont feel you will always see a difference straight away

Also some may have taken them & they have not suited them , where others will have & found they are very good , so unless you try them you wont always no if they will work for you or not

I wouldnt read up about them myself or the side effects leaflet as with anxiety we will pick up on anything negative we read then it will play on our minds & we will either think we have the side effects or they are not suiting us without giving them a chance

You could give them a try & see if they work , knowing that if at anytime you are not happy you can tell your GP & stop them , but on the other hand they may be just what you need & make you feel a lot better than you are at the moment :)

Let us no what you do & how you go on

Love

I am in my third day taking them. I was prescribed 3 x 40 but have been taking

2 x 40, one with breakfast and one with dinner. The palpations seem to be a lot better

but I have so many strange things due to under active thyroid difficult to really evaluate.

I have an ECG on Monday to try to get to the bottom of things.

I have bad health anxiety too, which so does not help!! So far I don't think I have any adverse side effects.

I think I am falling to pieces and am now at stage not sure what is in my head and what

Is real so to speak.

Sorry I am not being very helpful, hope someone on here can give you more information.

All the best

B

Hi, i was prescribed them for the first time yesterday and im kicking myself that i ve suffered all these years by refusing to take them. Everyone will react differently to them but they worked within 2 hrs for me, i felt like someone had switched off the back of my brain the bit that just wont shut up and let me be. It s the strangest feeling, its like a very slight buzz at the back of my head but its not unpleasant as such and is a thousand times better than the anxiety!

Yesterday and last night i had very little adreneline anxiety, no palps, no breathlessness and when i got in bed i could feel my brain trying to do it but it was as though there was a barrier there. I did take a while to fall asleep and i woke once but i dont know if thats because i did nt feel exhausted after fighting with my brain all day, because im poorly at the moment with a chest infection or because of the beta blockers. I also did nt feel monged out at all. Give them a go, if they dont work its easy to stop taking them and if they do u ll be landed.

Hi,

I was prescribed them for anxiety. I needed it for job interviews. I would take 1 tablet an hour before my interview. It worked well for the interview but I felt exhausted the rest of the day. I wad drained of all energy. This is my experience but bear in mind it might be different for you. I am also on other medication for depression also. I dont know if that would play a part with the tiredness. All the best xx

I'm taking 3x 10mg daily. I've found it best to take one on waking to counteract the early morning anxiety and they were helping, though today my depression has really taken hold and have been in tears most of the morning. I haven't noticed any real side effects, my hands have been a bit tingly, my dr did say it could cause cold hands. He said they have no effect on your mind it's purely the physical sensations they help with.

I know a lot of people who have taken them and they have been very effective. I went on them, but because I have low BP, had to stop because it dropped even lower. Worth a try. Take care

Im surprised they gave you this with having a low blood pressure as this is recommended for people with high blood pressure normally as its a beta blocker

I took them once back in the 90`s. They didn`t do much to help, but they do stop the unpleasant sensations that go with anxiety. I did find that my hands tended to get very cold when I took the drug & went outside in cool weather.

Hi I got given propanolol for anxiety but had to come off them as they affected my breathing despite the fact I do not suffer with asthma, I only went upto 20mg and I couldn't notice any changes to my anxiety to be honest but I was only on them about 2 weeks, however someone who I know is also taking propanolol and she has notice that they have taken away her anxious feelings a lot so I do think it depends on the person, I really hope that they help you though miahall1. :)

Years ago I tried to get a friend to try propranolol for vietnam PTSD. I was shopping for metoprolol for myself and thought I'd give propranolol a try for blood pressure and a few bad memories that POP UP daily. Both meds. are mostly prescribed for high blood pressure. Both are popular for very little side effects. Most side effects are sudden lowering of blood pressure so start with a meal to slow absorption.
