I wonder if food can contribute to anxiety. I ate a ready made Chicken Korma last night, something I seldom buy and today I feel full of anxiety, light headed frequant loo visits and UGH. Life is a real effort today and I am disappointed because I was making good progress up to now. cotonroad

Absolutely it can, unfortunately we all react differently to ingredients and as a result,it is impossible to pinpoint with accuracy. If in doubt, avoid the offending food.

Thanks I will certainly be more careful in the future, its bad enough coping with anxiety without the added cause, I think it may be processed and spicy foods to blame.. cotnroad

Spicy foods, pickles, vineger, anything acidy, milk products, although I can eat a small amount of cheese, is what I find difficult, as they get my IBS going, and that brings on the anxiety. I just dont eat any of them at all now.

food can be a bit of a nightmare...I've been gluten-free for five years and was relatively o.k until the anxiety returned and brought on my old friend IBS-C...seems high sugar makes me anxious, milk not too bad unless it's more than a couple of bits of chocit (noooooooo), given up the caffine too...diet boring but all that money I used to spend on coke is good...although I think the withdrawal agrivated my IBS-C for a bit :(
