Increased Anxiety after Stomach Bug

I had a stomach bug earlier this week and now my anxiety has been through the roof! I’m nauseous, shaking, anxious, had to re-add buspar to my antidepressant because it’s hard to function. Has anyone else experienced this after a stomach bug? Feels like it came out of nowhere

I'm sorry you were sick and continue to have symptoms.

Any problems in the past with health anxiety or health issues? Sometimes when we have one incident our anxiety stirs up.

Is the buspar helping? It may need more time.

I'm very fortunate I don't get sick too often.

I have a similar issue. I got sick once last week and have been extremely anxious since then. While you were sick, did you stop taking your medication? It could be withdrawal side effects.

I have health anxiety and OCD over germs and things of that nature, so I am naturally more inclined to be more anxious after throwing up.
