Well lately it's been art and music that I've been turning to my thing is that I lack real social connections
how long ago was the mistreatment? If it is something way in the past that you struggle to forgive or let go, you could write a letter to that person, or your younger self. That seemed to help me when facing anger related to injustices that have happened to me in the past. Another thing that has helped me was when I’m feeling really down and hateful towards myself, is to record a voice note to myself with advice I’d give to a friend if a friend told me they were feeling this way. I realize I’m a lot nicer to other than I am to myself. I hope some of this helps.
You know what is cheap and helps? A box of crayons and a colorong book! Now that fits the budget and has a proven track record for many!
