Anxious about moving cross country

Hi!

Ive been experiencing panic attacks since I was 5 (I'm 29 now). When I was 15 it became extremely debilitating and evolved into agoraphobia. I could barely leave my house. Fortunately, I got help through therapy and was able to get some stability in life. Around Slowly, Ive taken steps to expand my world and began to have less panic attacks. Recently, I was even able to fly to California! (I live in NYC).

I have been having some problems lately though. I was supposed to fly to Paris last week, and right before getting on board I had a panic attack and couldn't get on. I couldn't stop thinking about being over the ocean and getting stuck in Europe if I had a panic attack. I'm supposed to move to Florida w/ my boyfriend this summer (about an 18 hour drive) and now I'm scared I won't be able to do it. Has anyone in this community had experience moving cross country?

Any advice, tips/tricks, positive experiences are welcome!

Hey Vicks, that's sad about Paris, sorry. But look how far you've come, it's amazing. Now you feel like you've hit a wall, but it's really only a speed bump. Your strong and brave and you've proven you can overcome obstacles. It's not surprising that you're anxious about moving. They say that moving is the number one stresser. Summer's a ways off, try not to let this fear take over. Stay in the present and be grateful that you have choices. 🥰

feel like moving takes practice - do - learn - redo - learn - hope it works out that sounds exciting :)
