I’m so tired

I’m tired of it all guys.

I’m struggling with work after having covid, the brain fog is awful.

I look around at work and no one else is struggling with the stress so the issue must be me?

My appetite has gone, which is good as I needed to lose weight.

The other day I wanted to drive my car into the oncoming traffic or into a tree just to end it all.

I don’t want to go to the doctor as they will sign me off again and work has warned me of taking too many sick days.( I’ve had four instances of being sick since I’ve worked for them, twice for covid)

I don’t think my meds are working anymore

the issue is not you per se.....the issue is that you know you are not ok....now the question becomes what are you going to do about it...in the for what it's worth department YOU MATTER...and I CARE!!! the appetite will come back....work on eating....you need to eat....the world is a better place because you are in it.....whether you think so or not...sometimes we can develop a resistance to our meds.....I definitely feel like i need to change my mental health meds....I am trying to find a provider that is more suited to help me that understands public safety issues. The US has what is called the family medical leave act....wondering if the UK has something similar....I used this process for 5 years after I was involved in a major incident at work.....gives you protection for an ongoig qualifying medical issue...hang in there.....can't tell you when...but I can tell you it gets better

Thank you for the lovely comment. As far as I know the uk doesn’t have anything like that. Even if we did I don’t think my employer would care one bit!

I'm sorry that I was so blunt...just remember to never devalue yourself because of the opinions of others... you deserve to be happy

I'm sorry you're feeling so hopeless. But if you hang on long enough, it will pass. I would talk to your doctor about your suicidal ideations. Your life is more important than going to a job that doesn't care about your health. Getting Covid should not be an excuse to fire you. My anti-depressant medication wasn't helping me that much, so my doctor put me on Abilify and it worked wonders. It acts as a mood stabilizer and makes your anti-depressant work better. If you want to feel differently, you must do something differently, first. Then your mood will change. What is it that you haven't done or that you could do to feel different? Just an idea I heard at a support group meeting, But it makes sense. Be kind to yourself.

sometimes you have to change up your meds. Be your own advocate and tell your doctor you don’t want time off work you need your meds adjusted. Doctors in my experience are pushy. I can understand the brain fog. My daughter got covid last winter and she still hasn’t bounced back fully. She’s exhausted all the time. Please keep coming here. Especially when you’re feeling really bad. We care about you.
