Yes pal , been through this difficult process, I'm pleased to say I'm sober for 12+ years, there's numerous thread's to understanding why people drink and each of us has a different journey to fixing our problems, it's like peeling an onion there's plenty of layers , and going through recovery is a personal journey and like medication sometimes they don't always work, you'll have to find your way around this in different methods, find something that agrees with your plan, and see if it works, obviously stopping drinking at the beginning makes you feel vulnerable, but ask away if you need any more advice 😀
