Dad's uterior motive. Even when my parents seem they're doing good, they're doing bad

I will arrive later than expected. Moreover he called me and told me to get my winter clothes. I think he's preparing to get me back home and stop my child support. I browsed jobs at home, nothing for me. I thought he wanted to pick me up because im sick, turns out he wants my luggage back home. And yesterday i wrote about mom trying to help. She also talked about me finding another accommodation here. Not only it's more expensive but moving out costs 3x rent. I'm scared if i go from having no safe place to live to having no place to live. I'm not well. And not many options

Housing is hard to find. In the area where I live, there are almost no available apartments. But keep looking. Get on wait lists. If your parents see you are making efforts to find a place, they might back off. If you need a week to recover, tell them that you will start looking for jobs and a new place by the end of the month, but that you need a little time to recover from your exams.

(Masters degree! A on your exam! Awesome!)

Thank you. They're not even happy or proud. To win some time i said i graduate on 1st july. I really wonder what to do. I can't have a nice appartment (or any appartment) with part time and there's no job for psychologists in my city. Dad said that if i don't practice it, i will forget it.

Your father may be right about that, but there are other ways to use your knowledge than going right into being a therapist. Here are just two lists from a Google search.

E-mail the professors who know your work, thank them for their support, and ask them about letters of reference, contacts for informational interviews, and the various career choices they've seen their students make.

Check out Erin McGoff on YouTube for great advice on getting a job, writing a resume, negotiating a salary, performing well in an interview, and lots of other aspects of job-hunting. I wish she had been around when I was your age:

I hope that helps. I don't have the energy to do more research for you, but you're more tech-savvy than I am anyway and I'm sure you can build on these links. Keep trying. You got yourself that beautiful Master's degree. I think you can do this, even though it's scary. You know how to persevere.

Thank you. I just don't know how aplicatable this is here on Mars (aka Bulgaria). My proffesors don't even know me amoung all students and on online education and i don't think they can offer a job. They're fine teaching and don't care about us

AtC,

Can it hurt to try? No, your teachers can't offer you a job, unless they need a teaching assistant. But they may well know what former students have gone on to do. They might be able to put you in touch with someone who can help. Maybe not. But maybe so.

I found this: cedefop.europa.eu/en/news/u...

I don't know where you went to school, but there's this as well:

nbu.bg/en/alumni/center-for...

Call your school's alumni center. Ask to be put in contact with other people who have gotten their Masters in Psych. Find out if there is mentoring program.

None of these options will magically produce a job, but they are a good place to start.

But perhaps you would prefer no suggestions or sources? Maybe my sending you this information just feels like more pressure. I know what your paralysis feels like. But I don't want you to make the same mistakes I made. You have the strength, drive, and intelligence to create a life for yourself. We are all routing for you.

Not what you're looking for?
