We've had wild winds up here on the west coast of Scotland, I've been watching a pair of magpies carefully construct a decent sized nest, only for the winds to tear it apart, I'm hoping they'll come back and repair it, and lay a clutch of eggs in the coming weeks, I always throw my bits of food out of the window, and I avoid throwing bread out, it's not good for a bird to digest this, yes even bird's should have a well balanced diet π I think we take nature for granted, wishing you all a great Saturday evening, wherever you are π€

Great weather for flying kites, but a disaster for birds π¦ π¦ββ¬ π’

Essentially last seven years been through that many "diets" practically lost faith in them, ok have diabetes 2, but when so called diabetes "expert" changed my 'medication' , led to dramatic side effects, as usual new face cleared it upπ looking through between the lines, and basic common sense advice from good friends on HU, I usually come through, a simple basic diet, but SOMETIMES my "one off" cadaver likes to prove me wrongπ€¬π€«
My son has Type2, and Diabetic Retinopathy as well. Still trying to get his diet to a place he's comfortable with. getting doctor's appointments, is impossible here!
Cheers, Midori
You want a appointment here, 9-12am Monday and Tuesday, to get a GP, even then GP 'grills' you via the phone, then you find specific GP is on holiday or 'unavailable' until next weekπππ€π€¬
Ah well Twinkly I probably do have IBS that many change of diets, especially in last four years diabetes 2, and misdiagnosedπ€ Prostate Cancer, losing of weight, essentially had to form my own "diets" in that time, with help of HU friends, bound to be a slip π© up somewhere! [does not help the temper eitherπ€«π]
The gales and winds have been very severe down South to, it really makes me nervous. I also feed the birds daily, i love them all even though we get a lot of greedy gulls .
Yes, the seagulls have a " healthy " appetite π€£ but you've got to admire they're quite impressive birds to look at, we have a big community garden so when I throw scraps out I scatter the food in different directions to try and let the smaller birds get a chance to grab a bit of food , I even cut up bits of bacon rind up, I enjoy watching the magpies as they sometimes bury the food for a later time, even the crow's get bullied by the seagulls, it's different during the winter the seagulls tend to " paddle " for worm's as perhaps they aren't quite ready for mating, and they don't have such a big appetite, they've adapted to living around the chimney pots and nest anywhere, and once the chick's are roaming around I have to keep close to the building otherwise they will try to attack you, you have to keep your wit's around you, and of course they make a heck of a racket with their screeching noise π«£
He is very like my sister's cat 'Joe' same colour, a real scrapper, but very soppy , especially with me, aged 14π
my dog was being blown about a fair bit as well.
Nature, natural beauty. I respect and appreciate it, soothes my mind when I am often troubled with human problems. Take care of yourself <3
