This is so true. When I was young, it bothered me that I didn’t fit in. When I got an older (and hopefully wiser) I started to embrace the fact that I was different. I no longer look at the “in crowd” wanting to be a part of it. How awful would it be if we were all the same. I truly believe that there is enough space in this world for all of us to be exactly who we want/need to be.
Like you Stilltrying2...I was not one of those in the in crowd in high school.
As years went by, I grew emotionally and when I went to my high school reunions,
no one knew who I was. The in crowd was still just that, sitting all together just
like in school. I still looked the same and yet my persona had changed. I walked in
with confidence and self esteem that I never had in high school.
Gerrerd is spot on in that we can be what ever we want to be when the
time is right and we are ready. xx
