what’re you feeling anxious about & where are you feeling it in your body?
Hi Ferny122 and Welcome
When we lose control of our lives through loss or situations around us, it
gives anxiety a place to slip into our minds. Overwhelming thoughts will
come and go but it's the believing in them that brings on the anxiety symptoms.
Affirmations, Meditation, Breathing, Therapy & Medication can all play a part
in getting these thoughts to stop. However, it is a practice that must be done
each and every day when you might be feeling well. This gives the subconscious
mind a chance to build up a reservoir of positivity to be used when those ruminating
thoughts take over.
It's not that they aren't working but your brain needs time to absorb what it's being
told. Using Affirmations etc both before bed and first thing upon awakening for at
least a month, can give the mind time to change it's way of thinking. After that
continual practice of these tools is what will work when you do need to stop the
insanity. Anxiety loves to play games with our minds but games are meant to be
won. Time will show you this won't last forever. Believe that you will be able to
gain control of your life once more. xx
