Work woes

I had a relatively positive performance review after my supervisor observed my teaching today. I was feeling good until the second supervisor sent a note that she needs to observe me too. Only those with 3 years or less are to have 2 observations. I have been working here since 2014 with a short hiatus at another teaching job. I have been in my role for well over 3 years. They did the same to me last year, claiming it was because I'd left for a year and returned. It was unfair then, and here I am again. I'm discouraged. It's not right that the requirements are different for some of us...with no explanation. I'm going to "contest" this in a professional way. I realize I don't have much choice. But i should be held to the same "rules" as my colleagues. I'm not a new teacher. I've been teaching many years and don't deserve this. I'm sad and annoyed. It makes me want to walk away. Why do employers get to change the policies at their discretion? Why am I getting the short end of the stick again?? Not fair!

I think your being upset is totally justified.

Unfortunately as you said there really is not option. Ask them why so that you know.

I'm sorry you are being treated unfairly
