Has anyone had trouble weening off of topamax? Im Really struggling with this and looking for some support.

PnKGrl22, please never wean off Topamax w/o doctor's consent and guidance.

Whether it's been used for Migraines or Epilepsy or even something else, stopping

it abruptly can cause seizures. Your prescribing physician may be able to help you

avoid intense withdrawal by reducing the dosage slowly.

It's a good drug when used properly. Any withdrawal symptoms need to be

reported to your doctor. Be Safe xx

Hi

I am on topimax, been on it since March 2023, although it’s stabilised my seizures a bit I’m really struggling with the side effects. Are you on it for epilepsy or migraine? I haven’t been weaned off it I would be too scared tbh as just being on it has caused enough hassle. I would like to be weaned off but with instructions from my neurologist, r u currently been weaned off? If so, how are you? Sorry to bombard you. I hope you are not too rough.🙂
