If someone has Generalized Anxiety Disorder and is currently seeing a psychiatrist, what kind of practitioner would be best to see to work on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)? Thanks in advance and Happy Thanksgiving!

Who is best to help out?

I see a wellbeing practitioner every 2 weeks
Is a wellbeing practitioner a Primary Care Doctor?
No a wellbeing practitioner is someone who is trained to advise on CBT and to assess what tools are suitable for the individual. Mine said that I should do short meditation sessions, grounding and journaling.
I suggest finding a therapist that specifically uses CBT as part of their therapeutic process. Another thing that helped me was learning that anxiety is a paradox and the more you struggle and fight it the more it persists so the solution is to learn to desensitize yourself to the body sensations and know that the anxious thoughts are lies and get comfortable with the anxious feelings because they won't last for long if you don't feed them with your anxious thoughts. I found the DARE Anxiety book and youtube helpful, you might also check out the youtubes of Paige Pradko and Emma at Therapy in a Nutshell and any books or youtube of Dr. Claire Weekes.
